Nature is a place of becoming. A place of story-telling. A place to find yourself in context to the world around you. It is a place to get perspective, to heal and to overcome yourself. It is a place to imagine and explore big dreams.

“Being with someone who can hold space in such a gentle and non-judgmental way is something I’ve never come across before.  I’m still amazed by how much distance we covered, layers we explored in one weekend - compared to months in a group therapy setting. Reinforming thoughts at your own pace - physically and visually - is deeply transformative. An experience I can always come back to and draw energy from.” - BL

For clients interested in coaching outdoors I offer completely bespoke ‘Coaching on the Trail’ options unique to me at White Peak Wellbeing with options available in the Peak District, Lake District, North Wales and other locations (including international) on request. I have been walking and running the mountains of the world for many years, and know the power of the outdoors for motivating and facilitating big changes.

Over the course of a day, a weekend (Friday night – Sunday Lunchtime) or a longer trip, we will walk together, whilst working on understanding your goals and dreams and turning them into actionable goals.  Coaching outdoors is an enlivening, powerful and memorable way of looking at your personal development. Together we go on an outer and inner journey, exploring the landscape and giving your worries to the fresh air, pulling out your wishes, wants and goals seemingly from the ground as you go. We will look at how to identify and overcome barriers to progress and make use of a variety of unique techniques developed to tap into your wild imagination and intuition.

During our time together I will help you understand how to get the most out of your time outdoors including how to read and respond to the landscape for your own ongoing wellbeing.

This is more than just coaching. It’s coaching in the most beautiful places in the UK and beyond, a chance to develop yourself and your relationship with the outdoors with someone completely dedicated to your personal development.

Is it for me?

A full day of coaching is usually 6-7 hours (depending on conditions) and a Friday-Sunday weekend is usually 13-14 hours (broken into 3 sessions). These are immersive coaching experiences ideal for you if you:

  • want a kick-start in a specific direction

  • want a longer amount of time to work through multi-faceted problems or dilemmas.

  • need encouragement in getting something finished

  • require an intensive shot of motivation and enthusiasm

  • like to get straight to the heart of the issue and work on it with commitment

  • want to walk somewhere beautiful whilst ironing out current issues/problems/sticking points.

  • like to get to the root of a problem swiftly so that you can press on!

Coaching outdoors doesn't mean you have to be an athlete. We will move at your pace at all times (after all you need to be going slow enough to talk!) so as long as you have some baseline of fitness, and interest in walking, then we will be fine. All routes are planned according to your ability and ambition, and I will handle all logistics so that you only have to relax and focus on you.
